- Manage response timeframe and quality of samples that are created or provided by the manufacturer
- Create samples of sublimated emblems and embroidered emblems using the sublimation machine or embroidery machines

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting all federal, state and local inspection requirements
- Order all supplies, service, and equipment necessary to fulfill responsibilities with appropriate approval by the Plant Manager
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment in a safely manner
- Responsible for the maintenance programs within the plant. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance schedules
- Responsible for maintenance, repair and appearance of company vehicles. Make sure all are kept mechanically safe, sound and clean
- Maintain an inventory of replacement parts within budget guidelines. Report deficiencies to the Plant Manager
- Secure and control all maintenance tools, equipment and parts
- Assist Plant Manager with the scheduling of targeted date and time of project completion for all assigned tasks
- Keep an accurate repair report of all work processed by maintenance department or outside labor. This should be turned into the Plant Manager daily to be recorded in the appropriate manual
- Maintain a weekly engineering report consisting of company consumption of water, gas and electricity. This report should be turned into the Plant Manager weekly
- Maintain such other records as required for the Weekly Feeder Reports
- Assist the Plant Manager in controlling all washroom and production supplies. Conduct a weekly inventory usage report
- Assure that waste water is treated and handled properly - including any related paperwork

ORDER ROOM MANAGER

Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative / Operational
- Supervise start-up in the morning. Check the department often to assure that:
- Cancelled garment counts are verified and the “Cancelled Garment Return Log” is completed correctly
- Cancelled garments are properly graded and promptly returned to stock each day
- Orders are pulled, processed and completed within two weeks (unless on back order)
- No serviceable garments are being discarded
- There is a backlog of work at each station
- All work is in the correct processing order and is flowing smoothly
- Processing methods are correct
- All standards are being met
- Safety procedures are being followed
- Production/Processing area is kept clean at all times
- Preventive maintenance is performed regularly on all machinery and equipment
- Model and coach all employees in company’s values and believes
- Make certain that all used garments are promptly and properly processed by the Classifier and Stocker persons
- Make sure no obsolete garments are stored in the used garment stock area and that enough working space is available in the used storage area.
- Verify and approve new garments to fill used garment orders.
- Control “New for Used” garment percentages.
- Order all new garments and emblems for new accounts, new garment stockroom, individual garment orders and direct sales as required.
- Make sure new garment freight is broken and processed as soon as possible after arrival; break freight and checking goods for new account orders.
- Ensure the “Quality Control Inspection Checklist” is followed before checking each garment order completed.
- Notify the Engineer of repairs or maintenance that is needed on operating equipment.
- Train new employees in using the correct methods on their assigned jobs and oversee their progress.
- Make certain that selective and scheduled cross-training of all personnel is conducted on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in the cross-training of middle manages as required.
- Periodically review work and performance of all department employees on a scheduled basis.
- Make sure all necessary information for daily, weekly, and monthly Order Room production and management reports are complied and reported as required.
- Make sure than garment inventories are conducted at the end of each month.

Personnel

Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative / Operational
- Collecting and ensuring all calculations are correct on the production records.
- Printing of the daily time reports
- Ensure all feeder reports, weekly inventory, and monthly inventory are correctly filled out and filed with the office
- Maintain and update all plant forms and feeder reports.
- Assist plant manager with hiring through translating, testing
- Consult with vendors, place orders for merchandise, production and maintenance supplies commensurate with practical inventory levels. Maintain control over merchandise, production and maintenance supply inventory. Make sure the shipments match the product ordered. Match all purchase orders with packing slips and turn in all invoices for proper payment
- Assist plant manager by collecting and organizing all employee development information and fill out all development feeders on a weekly basis
- Type all memos, letters and correspondence, forms, and feeder reports

- Order and pick up lunches for monthly department meetings

- The Plant Assistant Manager manages the process of textiles for consumer use, at acceptable levels of quality, punctuality, and within budgetary requirements. This is accomplished through increasing of inventory expected servings, precise inventory levels, and achievement of personal and departmental goals, while observing the company’s beliefs and values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interviews, selects, tests, hires and suggests termination of employment for all personnel for the laundry, engineering and janitorial functions, and approves all outside labor contracts dealing with production and maintenance.
- Ensures each new employee is properly introduced to the purpose of the company, company philosophy, believes and values, safety indoctrination, company policy, and other company employees.
- Ensures that each new employee receives proper onboarding and training.

A valid drivers’ license is required in some activities (*). It also requires for a doctor to approve through a physical evaluation that the employee is able to perform heavy industrial physical work. Some of the required activities are but not limited to:

- Complete off the floor or late repairs on a priority basis, in a timely manner in the order they are received
- Push garments into and out of repair area
- Push mobile repair station. Repair all garments as designated. Read service order; make sure all repairs requested by Service Department are completed and signed off
- Make sure each garment repair is done neatly and correctly. Inspect each garment for other defects that may need to be repaired as well
- Make and/or retrieve code tapes for recoding of designated garments
- Set aside garments that are beyond repair off the floor replacement by the Order Room
- Make certain that all garments in need of replacement or repairs are brought to the Order Room at scheduled intervals each day and are recorded for control purposes
- Set aside garments which appear to have been torn up intentionally by the customer and pass these to the Order Room for ruined garment billing

- Weigh and process garment/duct loads to the full capacity of the machinery being used
- Make sure there are always loads weighed and ready for the next day’s production
- Make certain that incoming loads are processed in the priority sequences established (e.g., specials, out of sequence, route, etc.)
- Make sure proper amount of water and detergents are getting into the machines in the processing of each load according to the product
- Make certain that the correct weight of proper chemicals is used in the processing of each load according to the product
- Make sure the machinery is going through its cycles correctly - that every step is happening in the correct sequence at the right time
- Make sure that all duct and miscellaneous items are processed on schedule and available for each route day (includes the hanging and stacking of mats, etc.)
